- 12 oz canned chickpeas (drained)
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 2 green onions, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (or chickpea flour)
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup grapeseed oil (or other neutral oil)
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp fresh dill
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tsp sea salt
- Drain and pat dry the chickpeas. Mash them in a bowl until coarse but textured.
- Mix in cumin, black pepper, sea salt, green onions, garlic, flour, and egg until dough-like.
- Heat grapeseed oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Shape the mixture into patties and fry in batches for about 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- For the yogurt sauce, combine all ingredients in a bowl.
- Serve warm with yogurt sauce.
