  • 2 cups Water
  • 2 Black tea bags or 1 tbsp loose leaf black tea
  • 1 Apple, thinly sliced
  • 2 Cinnamon sticks
  • 1/4 tsp Ground nutmeg
  • 1 Star anise pod (optional)
  • Maple syrup (optional for sweetness)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add sliced apples, cinnamon sticks, ground nutmeg, and star anise (if using). Reduce heat and let simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Stir in black tea bags or loose leaf tea and steep for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Remove tea bags or strain out tea leaves and solids. Pour into mugs.
  4. Sweeten with maple syrup or your choice of sweetener to taste before serving.
