Ingredients

  • Yukon Gold potatoes (or red-skinned potatoes)
  • Butter
  • Heavy cream
  • Fresh rosemary (or thyme or sage)
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Better Than Bouillon Roasted Garlic Base
  • Parmesan cheese (or Pecorino Romano)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the bottom.
  3. In a saucepan, heat heavy cream, butter, herbs, salt, black pepper, and garlic base until melted. Stir in all but 1/4 cup of grated cheese until smooth.
  4. Thinly slice the potatoes using a mandoline and arrange them diagonally in the baking dish.
  5. Pour the cream mixture over the potatoes, cover with foil, and bake for 45 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil and bake another 20 minutes until golden and bubbly. Broil for an additional 4 minutes if desired.
