  • 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • Sea salt flakes
  • Drizzled caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour and brown sugar. Cut in cold butter until it resembles coarse crumbs. Press into the prepared pan as the crust.
  3. Sprinkle pecan halves over the crust.
  4. In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat until bubbling; stir constantly for about one minute.
  5. Pour the caramel layer evenly over pecans and crust.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes until bubbly and golden around the edges.
  7. Remove from oven, sprinkle chocolate chips on top, let melt for a few minutes, then spread evenly.
