  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • Blue gel food coloring
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup crushed chocolate cookies
  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tablespoons milk
  • ½ cup crushed chocolate cookies for topping
  • Extra mini chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk and yeast; let sit until foamy (5 mins). Stir in sugar, egg, yolk, melted butter, and vanilla. Gradually add flour and salt until dough forms.
  2. Add blue food coloring and knead until evenly mixed. Let rise covered for 1 to 1½ hours.
  3. Prepare filling by mixing softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, crushed cookies, and mini chips.
  4. Roll out dough into a rectangle. Spread filling over the dough and roll tightly; slice into 12 rolls.
  5. Place in a greased dish; let rise again (30–45 mins). Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20–25 minutes.
  6. For icing, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth; gradually add powdered sugar and adjust with milk for consistency.
  7. Drizzle icing over warm rolls and garnish with crushed cookies.
