  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons instant coffee granules
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 pan with foil, spraying it with nonstick baking spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter and dark cocoa powder until smooth.
  3. Beat in sugar, eggs, instant espresso powder, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
  4. In another bowl, combine salt, baking powder, and flour. Gradually fold this dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Spread the batter evenly in the pan and bake for 25-28 minutes until a toothpick comes out slightly sticky.
  6. Cool completely before preparing the coffee frosting by mixing heavy whipping cream with instant coffee granules and combining it with whipped butter and powdered sugar.
  7. Frost the cooled brownies with the coffee mixture and top with melted dark chocolate mixed with heavy cream.
  8. Let set before cutting into squares.
