  • 67 mozzarella cheese sticks (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 1 large egg (+ 1 tablespoon water for egg wash)
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tablespoon fresh rosemary (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tablespoon fresh basil (finely chopped)
  • 1 clove garlic (grated)
  • 1 jar marinara and/or pesto for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the pizza dough into approximately 30 equal squares and mozzarella sticks into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Place mozzarella in the center of each square, fold edges over cheese, and roll into balls.
  4. Arrange dough balls seam side down on the baking sheet in a Christmas tree shape.
  5. Whisk together egg and water; brush mixture onto each ball for a golden finish.
  6. Bake for 16-18 minutes until golden brown. Mix melted butter with half of the parmesan and herbs; brush over warm bread before serving.
