  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (non-alcoholic)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 sub rolls
  • 8 slices crispy turkey bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  3. Roll mixture into meatballs about 1.5 inches in diameter—aim for around 16-20 meatballs.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat; add meatballs and brown on all sides for about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Pour BBQ sauce over the browned meatballs; reduce heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  6. Slice open sub rolls and toast them in the oven for about 5 minutes until golden brown.
