  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar (for streusel)
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats (for streusel)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) – optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round baking pan.
  2. Make the streusel topping by mixing brown sugar, oats, flour, cinnamon, and softened butter in a bowl until crumbly; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Gradually stir in flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and milk alternately until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the fresh blueberries.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle the streusel topping evenly over it.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
